Sex, Marriage, and Fairytales
"Marriage today is struggling. Divorces, adultery, misconceptions, etc are plaguing not only the marriage itself but products of those marriages (my generation and the next)." While I know you are not married yet, the best time to learn about a proper biblical marriage is before you are married. Watch the video and give me your thoughts in at least 50 words (due by 2/12 @ midnight)

first of all i think that guy got rhymes. Well what he said is the simple truth because nowadays people don't see marriage as any thing special or something they need to stick out till the end,because some go into marriage because of the sex involved but i think marriage is way more than that. I mean what is the point of taking a vow when you can't heed to it.I think marriage should be something you don't rush into and it should be between a man and a woman not between people of the same sex.
ReplyDeleteFirst, WOW!! This guy really has a gift! I totally agree with everything he said. It is sad, to see what marriage has become in most parts our world. Husbands and wives are not happy, they are bitter, depressed, angry. They first, must have a good relationship with God and build up from ther. Also, it is sad to think that people get in "relationships" just for sex or some benefit. That's not how it should be. What about love?? The real love. Showing honor and respect towards eachother?
ReplyDeletethese videos are amazing i would love to see how this guy creates such deep heart felt true sorrows in these rhymes because he hits the subject right on the spot he pointed out that marriage can not be based on anything but jesus as its bases and we need to become friends before we get in bed and marry a person so men need to put women first before anything and give your life to her like jesus did to the church and for us upon across these words are amazing he points out the key things that everyone needs to hear but we need to respect and follow them not just hear them and run away people need to make a stand
ReplyDeleteTo start off this guy is a beast at poetry.What he said made a lot of sense if God is perfect and man is imperfect why try to build something that has a foundation made by man instead of God.Today you see people in Hollywood get married such as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries they had known each for like 2 months and got married, they divorced 89 days later what was the point of that. That was the perfect example of a marriage built on a broken foundation.
ReplyDeleteI love his video and he has a amazing talent, and im glad he is using it to glorify God and and share his word and teachings. I agree completely with what he said. I love how he said that marriage isn't just sex but conversationand laughter. It is sad how nowadays marriage seems to be a joke and people just stay in it till things get tough. Also how he talks about men putting their wives first and giving their life to her like jesus did for us, but how we woman also have to repest and obey our husbands is also true

It really challenges your thought process on marriage.The video also showed me that we shouldn’t fall back on childish fairytales, ten fantasy and things of that nature .But that we should strive for a relationship with Christ more than anything. And last this guy has cold flow filled with rymes that mean something.
ReplyDeleteGod gave this guy a gift and he is using it to teach his word. I agree with this guy 100%. Now a days marriage is just something you do. People are blind when they go into marriage. They think they love someone when in all actuality they just think they're pretty. He showed a great example with Jesus. How he died on the cross for us.(Us being His bride) Men need to go into marriage willing to die for his wife, not abusing her.
ReplyDeleteI really really enjoy watching this guy's poems. He is quite gifted and he is using his God given talent to serve the Lord like we all should be doing. He is right about what he said. Marriage today is definitely not what it used to be. Marriages would work out better if they became friends for a while and built a foundation just like the guy said. I would like to see more of this guy in blogs.
ReplyDeletei accually liked this poem i mean he has a point marriage was set by God to last for a man and a women and not to separate but to work out problems and to serve him everyday you are married and when you take the vows for better or for worse .... till death do us part thats how marriage should work to glorify God and it is man and women being united and we should treat the women right not harm her and put her in mind also rather than look at porn or other images and to treat her right in the eyes of God i also liked all his view on marriage in his poems they are interesting and i think his views are right
ReplyDeleteThis guy is 100% right. In the begining he spoke about how marriage isn't like the Disney movies and it is never "happily ever after". That is totally right because there will always be a time of anger or disappointment between spouses. Another thing i really liked about this poem is when he said "it's not love that sustains the promise, it's the promise that sustains the love." Many people don't understand that at all but i know full well about how the promise makes the love stronger. since my girlfriend is in college i could mess around and be unfaithful, but it would ruin my relationship, even if she never knew because the promise and would be broken and so would the love.
ReplyDeleteI think he does really good expressing his feelings on a subject. I agree with him people get married for the wrong reasons and they rarely ever have a healthy foundation. Only a few people are married to the first person the married and that's not how it is. People should really think about the foundation of their relationship before they get married.
